Union Environment Minister Harsh Vardhan today called upon young doctors to remain honest to their profession and aim to serve the patients rather than just running after money.
Speaking at the convocation ceremony of the Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences here, the minister said a doctor should be honest, humble, emotional and helpful.
"When a doctor gets his MBBS degree, it is not the end of the study, but actually the study of life starts at that time, he said.
Honesty and truth are powerful thing and are unbeatable, he said, adding that doctors should follow these values.
On the issues of global warming and climate change, the minister said everyone should come together to combat the challenge.
More than 500 students were given degrees on the occasion.
