The security forces comprising CRPF, Special Task Force and district police, carried out a joint operation and arrested the seven harcore Maoists from Pokharia bus stand under Banka police station, Superintendent of Police Satya Prakash said.
Five country-made pistols, 20-25 litres of petrol, ropes besides naxal literature were seized from the ultras, he said.
Five of the seven arrested Maoists have been identified as Pappu Yadav, Ashok Tanti, Mangal Singh, Pankaj Yadav and Vimal Rai, the SP said.
