District and Sessions Judge N V Kaur sentenced seven of a family to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 10,000 each
on Friday last, district prosecution officer Girish Sharma told reporters today.
On May 25, 2011, the family members of Rajendra Singh assaulted Basant Singh and his father over some dispute.
However, Basant died in hospital during treatment while his father was seriously injured.
Later, a murder case was registered against and seven family members - Sumer Singh, Gajendra Singh, Govardhan Singh, Nannu Singh, Chander Singh, Rinku Singh and Bhura Singh.
