Acting on a tip-off, Divisional Railway Manager Satya Prakash Dwedi raided a railway ticket counter and arrested seven unauthorised vendors for purchasing railway tickets to sell them later at an increased price to the commuters.
The DRM also suspended two railway employees-- commercial superintendent O P Jha and railway ticket clerk Ranjit Kumar for their collusion with the ticket vendors, the sources said.
The RPF commandant S N Arya accompanied by senior divisional manager M A Himanyu were present during the raid.
Several others unauthorised ticket vendors, however, manage to flee.
