The trouble began when one of the groups objected to the installing of loudspeaker at the Ravidas temple and playing of music on it last evening. The other side in turn accused them of using abusive language.
Station house officer of Nagina, Anil Yadav, rushed to the village with a large police force and took three persons into custody.
Later, Superintendent of Police, Nitin Tiwari and other officials also visited the village and deployed security personnel.
The situation in the village was now said to be under control though the locals claimed that people from both the sides have fled the village.
