Shahid Balwa meets Home Minister Shinde

Shahid Balwa, an accused in the 2G scam case, today met Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde and sought his intervention to expedite reply to an RTI application filed by him.
Balwa, the promoter of DB Royalty, said he met Shinde in connection with an RTI application pending before the Home Ministry for long.
Asked about the Balwa's meeting, Shinde said the businessman wanted his intervention in the matter of an RTI application.
"I told him if there is any inquiry against him, I cannot intervene. I also told him to come back after March 29 as I am leaving for my constituency (in Maharashtra) today," he said.

Balwa, an accused in the 2G scam case, is currently out on bail.
