Choreographer Terence Lewis says his student and "Dance India Dance" second season winner Shakti Mohan was the only star on the show who stayed unaffected by fame.
Terence, 41, who has also judged DID's other seasons is proud of the dancer.
"I'm so proud that Shakti was my student for three years and then she performed in my company. She won the 'Dance India Dance' show and it was great that she was the only one who is not smitten by fame," Terence told PTI on the sidelines of Naropa festival here.
"Everything was against her and she still won the show. She held on to her passion."
Terence said Shakti was reluctant to use the entire winning money for herself and later used it to train internationally.
Shakti is currently judging dance reality show "Dance Plus 2" with Remo D'Souza and Dharmesh.
Praising his favourite student, Terence said, "She has done an amazing work in 'Jhalak' and now she is a judge. Her whole trajectory has been amazing."
Terence says he likes Shakti's dedication and the way she works without any complaints.
"She has worked hard consistently and without complaining. That's the most amazing aspect of Shakti. It's marvellous when you work hard and when you are sincere and focussed," he said.
