The country star is gearing up to release her first album in 15 years, and one of the new tracks, titled "Who's Gonna Be Your Girl?," is all about her painful split, reported Contactmusic.
"It's about feeling unappreciated and knowing that you are secondary, having to live with someone that has different priorities, and accepting that you're not the most important thing in a person's life," Twain said.
Twain split from Lange in 2008 after he had an affair with her best friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud, and the former couple divorced in June, 2010.
"It helped me come to terms with a lot of things emotionally," she said,
The record also features the first songs Twain has laid down since she was diagnosed with Dysphonia, a vocal cord disorder.
