Former Himachal Pradesh Chief
Minister Shanta Kumar today hailed the new team announced by BJP president Rajnath Singh, saying the induction of young faces was a welcome step.
"Young India must have young leadership and for this senior and aged leaders have to shun the clamour for post and prestige," the veteran BJP leader, who has not been given any responsibility in the new team, said in a statement here.
Kumar, who was vice-president in the previous team, said he was fully satisfied with his political career.
The new team "is capable enough of guiding the party to power," he said.
