The crucial National Security Conference will be held here tomorrow, officials said today, adding that it will be attended by the four chief ministers, federal ministers and key officials.
Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Zaherul Islam will also attend the meet.
A senior official said that army officers will brief the meeting about the Zarb-e-Azb operation in North Waziristan.
"The overall internal security will also be discussed," he said.
Sharif government has come under lot of criticism for calling in the army.
Opposition leader Khursheed Shah of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) of former president Asif Ali Zardari has called it a mini marshal law and demanded its revocation.
Opposition parties staged a walk out of the Senate today against the decision to deploy the army to stop Khan's rally.
Imran Khan is protesting to push forward his demands for improving electoral laws has asked Sharif to step down and announce snap polls as he came to power through "massive rigging."
Tahirul Qadri, a Lahore-based cleric has made a similar announcement to launch a protest for revolution on August 14, vowing to pull down the government.
Qadri, a dual national, returned from Canada last month.
