The 63-year-old star has spoken out in support of her friend - who has denied allegations made by his former security guard Jeffrey Wenninger - insisting the alleged victim is not the "Rocket Man" hitmaker's "type".
Speaking on a TV show "The Talk", she said, "I have met this person on several occasions, I don't know him, but I have met him. What do I know? But he used to stare a lot... A bit of a nut job I suppose. But listen that is just my opinion.
Wenninger is suing the pop legend for sexual harassment and battery over three alleged incidents that he says occurred when he was working for the "Crocodile Rock" hitmaker in 2014.
But John insisted his former employee - who stopped working for the star in September 2014 - is trying to get money out of him.
