According to officers of the Dum Dum police station, three officers of Mumbai Police reached Das' residence at around 8 PM and questioned him, which was on till late this evening.
"Whether Das will be arrested or detained, depends on the Mumbai Police. They are trying to dig deep into Das' role, if there is any, in the murder case," a senior police officer said.
On whether Mumbai Police was contemplating interrogating Das in the presence of Indrani, the officer said "that could be a probability. They sought our help and we are extending all possible assistance."
Earlier in the day, a Mumbai Police team seized a laptop and papers related to bank accounts and investments of Indrani Mukerjea's former husband and co-accused Sanjeev Khanna in the Sheena Bora murder case from his residence in Hastings area in the southern part of the city.
