Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today made a strong pitch for making Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister and appealed to Congress workers to put all their hard work to ensure that the party Vice President occupies the top post.
"Your enthusiasm gives us the strength. Congress is working toward building the future of youth and you our are best soldiers. We all should work towards our aim to see Rahul Gandhi becomes country's Prime Minister," Dikshit said.
She was addressing a gathering of Youth Congress at the Talkatora stadium here.
Dikshit asked youth Congress workers to work with the objective of strengthening the party, thereby paving way for Gandhi to become the Prime Minister.
"We must dedicate ourselves to the party. We will have to ensure that Rahul Gandhi occupies the top post and lead the country," she said.
Appealing to party workers to work hard for the upcoming Delhi assembly polls, she exuded confidence of fourth straight victory.
Dikshit took a dig at opposition parties and said they do not have an agenda for development of the city.
Congress General Secretary Shakeel Ahmed, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President J P Agarwal, Youth Congress President Rajeev Satav and MP Sandeep Dikshit were also present on the occasion.
