Addressing a rally of Congress' women wing at Sujanpur, 20KM from here, she said BJP "cannot befool the people by resorting to lies and insinuations and people would give a befitting reply to the party by ousting the corrupt state government in the coming assembly polls".

"Congress is all set to return to power in Himachal Pradesh and the charges being levelled by the BJP government against the UPA government would not cut any ice with the voters who are fed up with BJP", she said.

She said the Centre was providing adequate funds to all states on equal and balanaced basis and most of the schemes for which BJP was claiming credit are centrally-sponsored and funded.

How Himachal Pradesh was progressing and making all-round development if it was not receiving adequate funds from the Centre, Dixit asked.

Dikshit said the main plank of Congress in the assembly polls in Himachal Pradesh would be eradication of corruption as people wanted a graft-free government.

AICC general secretary and incharge of Himachal Pradesh, Birender Singh, dubbed the BJP government in the state as "anti-people and anti-youth" and promised unemployment allowance to educated youth if Congress returned to power in Himachal. PTI CORR PCL
