Shipping Corp shares zoom over 14 pc on good Q4 results

Shares of Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) today gained over 14 per cent after the company reported a net profit of Rs 13.24 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014.
SCI's stock ended at Rs 63.05, up 14.32 per cent on the BSE. During the day, the scrip surged 17.22 per cent to Rs 64.65, its 52-week high level.
At the NSE, the stock zoomed 13.72 per cent to close at Rs 63.
On the volume front, 21.89 lakh shares of the company were traded at the BSE, while over 76 lakh shares changed hands at the NSE during the day.
SCI had yesterday reported a net profit of Rs 13.24 crore for the quarter ended March 31 on the back of higher income from operations. It had a net loss of Rs 284.45 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
