Rajasthan Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Govind Sharma said Apurvi's name has been cleared the Election Commission.
She will campaign for spreading public awareness about importance of voting and for ensuring cent per cent polling in the September 13 by-elections to four seats in the state.
Rajasthan's four Assembly constituencies -- Kota-South, Weir, Nasirabad and Surajgarh -- go to poll on September 13, the CEO said.
The sporting icon will move around the four Assembly constituencies and educate the people, especially women, about the importance of voting, Sharma said.
