Shop assistant held on the charge of stealing mobiles

The arrested was identified Sandeep and 500 stolen mobile handsets have been allegedly recovered from his possession, Devesh Srivastava, Additional Commissioner of Police (Central), said.

The owner of the shop in Karol Bagh yesterday reported the theft and suspected that Sandeep could be behind it.

"Sandeep was interrogated. He later confessed to have committed this theft. He told us that he had taken out total ten cartons of mobile phones by opening the godown with the keys available with him. A raid was conducted at his residence and recovered stolen mobiles," Srivastava said.
