Its net profit in the April-June quarter of 2016-17 stood at Rs 374.10 crore.
Earnings per share (basic) of the company for the quarter ended June 2017 rose by 19.95 per cent to Rs 19.78 from Rs 16.49 in the similar period of previous fiscal 2016-17, a company statement said.
Net interest income during the reported quarter increased by 17.65 per cent to Rs 1,585.20 crore, from Rs 1,347.39 crore in the same period year ago.
Stock of the company closed 5 per cent higher at Rs 1018.20 on BSE.
