Superintendent of Police Jitendra Shahi said there were complaints the policemen posted at Niwada Police Chowki were taking money from the motorists. When investigated, the charges were found to be true, he said.
Sub Inspector Anis was suspended and six policemen were sen to the district lines, the SP said.
Sahi said surprise inspections would be conducted from now onwards and stern action would be taken against policemen found involved in such cases.
