Addressing a press conference at AAP office on DDU Marg, Sisodia alleged the BJP has not allowed audit of municipal corporations since 2012 to "hide" its corruption in all the three civic bodies.
Quoting figures from the cleanliness survey of the Union Urban Development Ministry, the senior AAP leader said that municipal corporations under the BJP leadership have completely "failed" to clean up the city.
"It is surprising that the MCDs have not got their books audited since 2012. It seems it has not been done deliberately as several scams were unearthed in the report of the MCD's own auditor.
Sisodia said the Urban Development ministry data shows how the city has been deteriorating in rankings on the cleanliness front.
"In 2009-10, the UD Ministry carried out a survey to rank 423 Indian cities on cleanliness and sanitation. The national capital was ranked at 168," he also said.
In a 2015 survey, MoUD ranked Delhi at 398 out of 476 cities. In 2016, under Swachh Bharat Mission, MoUD carried out a 'Swachh Sarvekshan Survey' for 73 cities in India through Quality Council for India, in which all the three corporations under MCD were ranked in the bottom half.
