Six youth, who were arrested for allegedly using electronic devices for writing answers in the Staff Selection Commission's Combined Graduate Level Examination 2013, were today remanded to ten days of police custody by a Delhi court.
The accused were arrested yesterday and the crime branch of Delhi police sought their custodial interrogation saying the youths, who were appearing in the SSC examination held on September 29, were using the "latest communication devices" and were in touch with persons who were feeding them the answers.
The police said the six, who have been booked for criminal breach of trust and criminal conspiracy, had paid huge amounts to the persons involved in the racket for helping them clear the exam conducted for recruitment of income tax inspectors, CBI sub-inspectors and Excise department inspectors.
"Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, all six accused persons are remanded to police custody for ten days," Metropolitan Magistrate Amitabh Rawat said.
