The IM operative, Tabish Nyaz alias Arshad Ansari, who was arrested from Alaula in East Champaran on Tuesday also told interrogators that the six were to assemble at his village after the explosions to work out further plans, district police chief Vinay Kumar told reporters here today.
Tabish disclosed that he had talked on phone to IM operative Imtiyaz, the prime accused, from Dhurba area in Ranchi, hours before the explosions at the Gandhi Maidan and other places on Sunday, the SSP said.
Tabish was a highly educated man who ran a coaching institute in Ranchi, the SSP said, adding, that more IM operatives could have taken refuge in district.
The IM operative revealed that fugitive IM operatives Tahseen Akhtar alias Monu and Haider might have carried out the Bodh Gaya serial blasts.
A clock, identified to have been used in the Bodh Gaya blasts, was recovered from Imtiyaz's house in Ranchi during search by the local police soon after the Patna serial blast, he said.
The explosions at the rally which was addressed by BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi had claimed six lives and injured more than 80.
