Six injured in fire in Punjab

Six persons were injured and some vehicles and household items were gutted in fire which broke out in a shed of a house in Asha Park colony here, police said today.
The incident took place late last night on the Phagwara-Palahi road, they said.
Six persons, including an inmate of the house identified as Sukhjinder Singh, sustained minor injuries while they were trying to douse the flames with the help of other residents of the area, police said.
Police, quoting the house owner, said that a car, a jeep, a tractor, an AC, a generator set, and a washing machine were gutted in the fire while another car was also damaged.

All these vehicles were parked in the shed, they said, adding, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
