Six school children killed in road accident

Six school children were today killed and nine others were injured when a jeep carrying them from Bihar's Kishanganj district to North Dinajpur district in West Bengal collided with a truck near Rampur checkpost.
Officer in-charge of Sadar police station Kishanganj Aftab Ahmed said that there were 14 students of a school in the jeep when the accident occurred near Rampur checkpost on the border under Chakalia police station in West Bengal.
He said that five died on the spot while one succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.
Nine others, including the driver of the vehicle, were injured and have been admitted at the Kishanganj medical college and hospital, he said.
