SLC CEO Ashley de Silva, in a letter to his ICC counterpart Dave Richardson, said that the interim committee had explained the reasons which led to the appointment of the IC.
The ICC, in its board meeting held last week, had decided to hold back the dues payable to the SLC pending investigation into the government decision to appoint an IC.
SLC said "it regrets to state that purported sudden decision to withhold these monies which are legitimately due to SLC is in breach of the agreements between SLC and ICC".
The government said it was a temporary move until corruption in the SLC administration could be probed.
