Small sugar drops on stockist selling

Small sugar prices dropped at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to stockist selling amidst subdued demand from millers and bulk consumers.
Elsewhere, medium sugar eased owing to lower offtake from stockist on the back of poor upcountry advices.
Small sugar (S-30) dipped by Rs 20 per quintal to Rs 2,662/2,800 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 2,682/2,800.
Medium sugar (M-30) moved-down by Rs 4 per quintal to Rs 2,802/2,962 as against Rs 2,802/2,966 previously.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,662/2,800 (Rs 2,682/2,800.

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,802/2,962 (Rs 2,802/2,966).
