Smuggled gold, laptops, foreign currency and imported cigarettes totally valued at Rs 53.2 lakh were seized from passengers who arrived at the city airport in the last two days.
According to air intelligence unit wing personnel, officials recovered 974 grams of gold from three passengers who arrived from Dubai on Friday.
The three passengers had concealed the yellow metal worth Rs 35 lakh in their rectum, a press release said.
They also seized 2,640 units of Gudang garam cigarettes valued Rs 26,400 and laptops worth Rs 20,000.
In another incident on Saturday, 24,540 Euros equivalent to Rs 18.64 lakh was recovered from two French nationals bound for Dubai.
The value of total goods confiscated was Rs 53.2 lakh and further investigation was on, the release added.
