According to a DMRC spokesperson, a metro train coming from Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida City Centre developed snag at Dwarka Sector 14 station around 10 AM, following which it had to be removed from service and sent for repair.
Commuters travelling on the line during peak office hour had to face a lot of inconvenience as the train had to be removed from the tracks and another train was pressed into service, which caused delay.
All passengers on board were asked to alight.
A harrowed daily commuter, Kapil complained, "I boarded a train at 9.15 AM from Dwarka Sector 9 station which kept standing till around 10 AM. I reached my office in Noida only at 12 noon."
On September 2, thousands of metro commuters had a harrowing time as services were badly hit on the Dwarka-Noida City Centre/Vaishali line as a portion of the overhead electricity wire of the track going towards Dwarka snapped between Janakpuri West and Uttam Nagar East stations.
On average nearly seven lakh passengers travel daily on the Blue Line.
