Somdev through to main draw of French Open
Press Trust of India Paris India's Somdev Devvarman qualified for the main draw of the men's singles event at the French Open here today.
Somdev defeated eight seed Wayne Odesnik of the United States 6-3 6-4 in the third and final qualifying round at the Rolland Garros.
Somdev will now take on Spaniard Daniel Munoz-De La Nava in the first round of the main draw.
Somdev had earlier defeated Italian Matteo Viola 6-4 1-6 6-4 in his first qualifying round before prevailing over Quentin Halys of France 7-6 6-3 in the next round.
