In her condolence message, Gandhi paid rich tributes to the media baron and recalled his contribution in the field of media and social service.
"His death has created a void that will take a long time to fill," she said while conveying her heartfelt sympathies to the members of the bereaved family as well as the Dainik Bhaskar Group.
Agrawal, Chairman of the country's leading publication house Dainik Bhaskar Group, died following a heart attack upon his arrival at Ahmedabad airport today. He was 73.
She stated that Gupta's contribution to education and public life was noteworthy, and conveyed her solidarity with his family members in this hour of grief.
Gupta died early this morning in Lucknow following cardiac arrest. He was 56.
