Haryana Health Minister Rao Narender Singh today said that this women medical college has been "set up in government sector after a gap of 100 years as the Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi was established in 1914."
Singh said that Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, will also preside over the function.
The foundation stone of the Rs 700 crore Khanpur Kalan college was laid by Sonia Gandhi on March 1, 2009.
Singh said that in the first phase of this college, the administrative block and residences have been constructed at a cost of Rs 475 crore and Rs 50 crore have been spent to provide world class infrastructure with state-of-art machinery and equipment.
