A team of National Inspection and Monitoring Committee and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation yesterday conducted a raid at the maternity and nursing home run by Dr Hemant Bhatt, the media convener of Gujarat BJP, in Khadia area here.
"There were irregularities in maintaining of documents of patients, so the sonography machine was sealed and action was initiated against him (Bhatt) under the PCPNDT Act," AMC's medical officer Bhavin Solanki said.
If Bhatt is found to be guilty after inquiry, he may lose his licence for sonography machine among other things, the official said.
Bhatt is also the president of Ahmedabad Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society.
