Alleging apathetic attitude of Samajwadi Party government towards farmers, BJP today said that the party has turned a blind eye towards farmer suicides.
"Due to hailstorm and adverse weather, farmers of the state have incurred heavy losses. The SP government has turned a blind eye towards it. Over 200 farmers have died in the present regime but the government is not taking it seriously and hiding the deaths," BJP spokesman Manoj Mishra said.
The farmers are either committing suicides or they are dying due to heart attack due to hefty losses, he further said.
Demanding compensation for farmers, Mishra alleged only announcements were made but nothing was done concrete to help them.
