Cousin of a Samajwadi Party MLA was allegedly shot at today by a village head in Pratapgarh district of the state.
While the victim Harishchandra (25) claimed he was having some dispute with village head Raju Yadav and had gone to his house for dialogue on his invitation, Raju alleged that Harishchandra had entered his house with an intention of theft, police said.
Harishchandra (25) who lives in Antichaukhar village of Antu area, is cousin of SP MLA Nagendra Singh.
He has been referred to Allahabad for treatment, they said.
