Spell out stand on quota in promotions: Samiti to parties

The Sarvjan Hitai Sanrakshan Samiti congratulated the Uttar Pradesh government for implementing the Supreme Court order in doing away with reservation in promotions for SCs/STs in government jobs.

It asked all political parties to spell out their stand on the issue.

"A meeting will be held here on May nine to chalk out a strategy in view of efforts by some political parties to bring a bill for doing away with the SC order," the Samiti said.
