Sporting Clube de Goa would look to bounce back from their opening match loss when they take on new entrant DSK Shivanjians in an I-League match at Nehru Stadium here tomorrow.
Sporting had their opening match against East Bengal under control and even took the lead through Odafe Okolie in the 29th minute until their defence crumbled in the second half to conced three goals to East Bengal in a 1-3 defeat.
With just nine teams and 16 matches to play, Sporting's coach Mateus Costa knows how important it is to win their home matches.
Costa will be playing the same side that lost against East Bengal with Rowllin Borges coming back after recovering from an injury.
"We started well in the last match and were leading 1-0 at half time but lack of concentration in the defence cost us dearly towards the end as we conceded three goals to end on a losing note. Now we do not want to repeat the same mistakes and want to win tomorrow's match," stated Costa.
While DSK Shivajians coach Derrick said: "Sporting are a good side and playing attacking game and with Odafe in their side, they have the advantage up front and we have to check him. This is our first time we are playing in the I-League and want to get a good start as it is our away match and we want to win it. We had a good training session and are now ready to make an impact in this tournament," stated Pereira.
