A bench, comprising Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice R S Endlaw, reserved the order after the counsel for both the parties concluded their arguments on their part.
"We will consider and pass the order. Order is reserved," the court said.
The court was hearing a PIL filed by Haryana resident Saket Wali who has sought a direction to the Centre, Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Squash Federation of India (SFI) to re notify selection trials for the upcoming Squash World University Championship.
The plea further stated that AIU, Indian Olympic Association and SFI should immediately constitute and display on their websites the grievance redressal mechanism mandated by the sports code with a direction to the Centre to ensure that the same is done within a week.
It also said a provisional team, chosen to represent India, has not been notified because two out of five selected players do not have their documentations in order as required under the rules.
The Centre and others objected to the plea saying the petitioner has no "locus" as he never participated in any tournament.
