: Some unions of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation on Sunday threatened to go on an indefinite strike from October 5 if their demands were not met.

The union leaders said several notices for a strike had been given to the government earlier on their demands, but there was no response from them.

The unions have been demanding, among other things, merger of the RTC with the government, recruitment to various posts, job security to drivers and conductors, implementation of Pay Scale Revision 2017 recommendations and removal of taxes on diesel.
