Australia-headquartered StayWell Hospitality Group is looking at 25 properties in India in three years under its two brands – Park Regis and Leisure Inn – mostly under management contract.

"We have signed 13 properties under management contract in India, of which four are already operational. In next two years, we will see them all operational, of which 10 will be under the Leisure Inn brand and three will be under Park Regis. Overall, we are looking at operating 25 hotels in the next three years in India," StayWell Hospitality Group Managing Director Rohit Vig told PTI here.

He said that growth will be more rapid in the Leisure Inn brand, which is a midscale brand, offering unbeatable value-for-money accommodation mainly aimed at high catchment locations.

"For growth in Leisure Inn we are looking at high catchment areas in Tier II, III cities, industrial towns and religious destinations," Vig added.

Park Regis is an upscale brand, offering quality accommodation more suited for resorts, he said.

The hospitality group, he said, will soon launch a boutique hotel brand in London and in 6-8 months will introduce it in India.

"The new boutique brand will mainly be aimed for Tier-I cities giving personalised service. For this brand we will be exploring locations like Mumbai to start with and then maybe Delhi and Bangalore," he added.

The company, which is focused on management contract, is also very selective about franchise.

"We are very selective in franchise model as the property has to very strategic and meet with our specifications. Otherwise we are very focused on the management contract model," he said.

StayWell Hospitality Group has a portfolio of 35 properties in Indonesia, the UAE, India, Singapore and multiple properties in Australia, including in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville and Launceston.
