Std 12 boy tries to kill self

A student of Class 12 tried to end his life by making a bomb from flammable matchstick heads and copper wires, police said today.
In the case which took place last night in Tonk district, the boy, who is a science student, filled a small paperbox with match heads, covered it with copper wire, and then ignited it, causing the crude device to burst in his hand, police said.
The boy suffered 10 per cent burns, Investigating Officer Onkar Prasad said, adding that he had been depressed over his studies at a government school in Niwai.
