Haryana Minister Ram Bilas Sharma today said strict action would be taken against institutes involved in "commercialisation of education".
It has been brought to notice that some schools are selling books, stationery and uniforms to students within their premises. A probe would be conducted into this, the state education minister was quoted as saying in an official release.
Sharma, who was in Panipat today, also said a high-level meeting of the Education Department has been convened tomorrow in which "significant decisions" would be taken.
