Stating that a British Airways cargo flight from London "got stuck" at 07.48 am on the main runway "07/25", the AAI in a release said the runway was blocked only for 27 minutes.
"The aircraft was towed to the designated bay and the runway was ready to resume flight operations by 08.15 am."
Due to the incident, a Jet Airways flight (836) from Cochin was diverted to Bangalore. "There was no other flight diversion. Two departure movements were delayed,"the AAI added.
