Shouting slogans, the girl students from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Samba today took out a protest rally and converged on highway holding demonstrations there.
Scores of vehicles were left stranded either side of the Highway for two hours due to the blockade, district officials said.
Later, on assurance by authorities that their demands would be met, the students dispersed, they said.
