District and Sessions Judge, Khurda, Durga Prasanna Choudhury, fixed July 10 as the date for hearing on the ED's petition seeking to take Sen in its remand and sent him to judicial custody in Jharpada jail.
Sen was produced in court by ED and Kolkata Police.
"We are hopeful to get some more clues from Sen after taking him into custody," an ED official, present in the court, said, adding that the directorate expected attachment of more properties of the Group in Odisha.
The Group had allegedly duped several lakhs of investors in West Bengal and Odisha where it was operating mostly in Balasore and Puri districts.
The Economic Offence Wing of the Crime Branch of Odisha Police, had earlier sealed the Saradha Group's offices in Balasore and Puri.
