Sugar ends weak on mute demand

Sugar prices weakened further at the Vashi wholesale market here today on sustained stockist selling amid mute demand from retailers and bulk consumers.
Small sugar (S-30) declined by Rs 10/5 per quintal to Rs 2,680/2,820 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 2,690/2,825.
Medium sugar (M-30) moved-down by 4/10 per quintal to Rs 2,812/2,952 as compared to Rs 2,816/2,962 yesterday.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,680/2,820 (Rs 2,690/2,825.
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,812/2,952 (Rs 2,816/2,962).
