Sugar price increased in commodities market

Price of sugar increased while that of urad dal decreased and the rates of other commodities ruled steady at the wholesale foodgrain market here during the week under review.
Sugar opened the week at Rs 3,300, an hike of Rs.150 per quintal from its closing rates of Rs 3,150. The price continued at Rs 3,300 till the week end.
Prices of urad dal fell by Rs 100 per quintal on its opening day to Rs.14,900 from its previous closing rate of Rs.15,000. The price continued at Rs 14,900 till today.
Thoor dal (Rs 14,000), Moong dal (Rs 10,000), Gram dal (Rs 6,400), wheat (Rs 3,000), maida (90 kgs) (Rs.2,500) and sooji (90 kg)(Rs.3,200) prices ruled steady throughout the week.
