Sugar prices recover on renewed demand

Both the varieties of sugar prices recovered marginally at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today on fresh demand from stockist and retailers.
Small sugar (S-30) climbed by Rs 12/1 per quintal to Rs 3,082/3,141 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 3.070/3,140.
Medium sugar (M-30) also edged-up by Rs 4 per quintal to Rs 3,176/3,321 as against Rs 3,172/3,321.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,082/3,141 (Rs 3,070/3,140).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,176/3,321 (Rs 3,172/3,321).
