Sugar remains under pressure on adequate stocks

Sugar prices dropped by Rs 30 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today due to mounting stocks following persistent supplies from mills.
However, scattered buying by bulk consumers, limited the losses.
Marketmen said adequate stocks following increased supplies by mills were mainly responsible for the persistent fall in the sweetner's prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 enquired lower by Rs 30 each to settle at Rs 3,180-3,300 and Rs 3,170-3,290 per quintal.
Mill delivery M-30 and S-30 also shed Rs 10 each to Rs 3,030-3,155 and Rs 3,010-3,140 per quintal.
In millgate section, Modinagar, Khatauli and Dhampur lost Rs 20 each to Rs 3,050, Rs 3,125 and Rs 3,040 per quintal.
Prices of Dhanora and Chandpur also fell by Rs 15 each to Rs 3,065 and Rs 3,045 per quintal.

Sugar ready: M-30 (Rs 3,180-3,300); S-30 (Rs 3,170-3,290).
Mill delivery: M-30 (Rs.3,030-3,155); S-30 (Rs.3,010-3,140).
Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana (Rs 3,110); Kinnoni (Rs 3,155); Asmoli (Rs 3,130); Daurala (Rs 3,080); Budhana (Rs 3,075); Thanabhavan (Rs 3,070); Dhanora (Rs 3,065); Simbholi (Rs 3,120); Modi Nagar (Rs 3,050); Khatuli (Rs 3,125); Dhampur (Rs 3,040); Ramala (Rs 3,050); Bulandshahr (Rs 3,070); Anupshahr (Rs 3,040); Baghpat (Rs 3,060); Morna (Rs 3,060); Sakoti (Rs 3,060); Chandpur (Rs 3,045) and Nazibabad (Rs 3,050).
