A pall of gloom descended at Jat's residence in Gordhanpura village in Neem Ka Thana of Sikar district where CRPF officers laid the floral wreath and paid homage to him.
Scores of other people had also gathered at his ancestral house to pay their respects.
His unit official and other ranks, local public representatives, district administration and police officials attended the funeral.
The mortal remains of Lal were brought to Sriganganagar today on a special chopper and consigned to flames in Balarajpura village in Sriganganagar district with full honours.
Both the jawans were killed along with 23 other CRPF personnel in the Naxal ambush in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district on Monday.
