All public and private schools in the district will be closed for summer vacation from May 5 in view of the heat wave prevailing here, District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar Agrawal said.
The summer vacation were scheduled to start from third week of next month, but the heat wave conditions prompted the district administration to advance the closure of all schools, he said.
Agrawal said he has directed his subordinate officials to ensure implementation of the order.
Meanwhile, Education Minister Ashok Kumar Chaudhary said the district magistrates of districts concerned will take a call on advancing the summer vacation in schools in view of heat-wave condition.
